Advisors' Opinion:

    Exelon stock's electricity
Currently, Exelon packs more than its fair share of nuclear. At around 19,000 MW, this utility alone produces around 20% of the nation's total nuclear-sourced power. But although Exelon is undoubtedly the nuclear king, utilities can't really "dabble" with this power source. Its capital-intensive nature requires significant investment, and Duke Energy (NYSE: DUK  ) and FirstEnergy (NYSE: FE  ) are two companies that have significant stakes.

  • [By Justin Loiseau]

FirstEnergy (NYSE: FE  ) relies on coal for a whopping 64% of its generation, while natural gas comprises just 6% of its capacity. The company's Q1 earnings come out next Wednesday, and bullish investors will undoubtedly be on the lookout for higher 2013 guidance.

I don love that list. I like the 14 past picks in the Ben Graham Net-Net Newsletter model portfolio much better. The newsletter only owns 1 of those 9 net-nets. Remember, we have 9 net-nets out of the 14 picked for the newsletter that are trading below where we picked them. So, obviously I like those 9 net-nets a lot better than these 9 net-nets.

Like I said, I wouldn encourage you to buy those nine net-nets shown here even if youe looking to put a lot of money into net-nets. Instead you should look at your favorite net-nets or the net-nets in the Ben Graham: Net-Net Newsletter and use them as a buy list you are constantly placing orders from month after month.

Building a diversified collection of net-net through many months of purchasing is a better way to invest a lot of money in net-nets than trying to focus on the biggest net-nets.

Its worth taking a muchcloser look at small Cap specialty retail stock Tuesday Morning Corporation (NASDAQ: TUES) verses the performance of potential retail ETF peers like the SPDR S&P Retail ETF (NYSEARCA: XRT), Market Vectors Retail ETF (NYSEARCA: RTH) and Direxion Daily Retail Bull 3X Shares (NYSEARCA: RETL). In case you are not familiar with the stock, an activist shareholder (who became the Chairman of the Board) complained about the company performance (or rathera wider net loss thatTUES had reported) back in 2012 and thislead to the firing of CEO Kathleen Mason who then turned around and filed a discrimination claim claiming she was fired after 12 years in the role after she disclosed that she was being treated for breast cancer. Late in 2012, Tuesday Morning Corporation also firedits chief merchandise officer after only five months on the job and then hired a new CEO.

Advisors' Opinion:

But Sbarro is hardly the only restaurant struggling to make ends meet right now. Indeed, there are several more that may be following in the pizza chain’s bankruptcy footsteps. In no particular order, here are five more restaurants that may be fiscally insolvent in the foreseeable future.

    Cosi (COSI)

The sandwiches may be delicious, but the menu Cosi Inc. (COSI) offers at its 136 restaurants is increasingly irrelevant, either for price (the average ticket size is about $8.81), convenience, or both.

The Q1 2014 Potbelly Corp (NASDAQ: PBPB) earnings report is scheduled for after the market closes on Tuesday, May 6th, with investors and traders alike who follow either the sandwich restaurant chain stock (which debuted last October and is down some 44% for retail investors)or who are into potential small cap peers like Cosi Inc (NASDAQ: COSI), Einstein Noah Restaurant Group, Inc (NASDAQ: BAGL) and Panera Bread Co (NASDAQ: PNRA) should be paying attention. Aside from the Potbelly Corp earnings report, it should be said that the Q1 2014 Panera Bread Co earnings report was last Tuesday while theQ1 2014 Einstein Noah Restaurant Group, Inc earnings report came last Thursday and the the Q1 2014 Cosi Incearnings report is likely scheduled for Monday, May 12. However, Potbelly Corp has attracted a bit of attention for its potential growth trajectory as well as itsvision to be the eighborhood Sandwich Shop./p>

Cosi Inc.(COSI) named Yum Brands Inc.(YUM) veteran Scott Carlock as the chief financial officer of the struggling sandwich chain.

Cloud-based software provider E2open Inc.'s(EOPN) loss widened in its fiscal first quarter as operating expenses continued to rise.

At the end of last week, small cap sandwich stock Potbelly Corp (NASDAQ: PBPB) had a delicious surge of 120% for its IPOmeaning its probably a good idea to see whether its still worth getting in on the action plus take a look at the performance of peersCosi Inc (NASDAQ: COSI), Panera Bread Co (NASDAQ: PNRA) and Einstein Noah Restaurant Group, Inc (NASDAQ: BAGL) as Subway remains private. I should mention that competing with Subway in the sandwich business is a tall order as they have 40,229 restaurants in 102 countries and territories as of early Septembermaking them thelargest single-brand restaurant chain and the largest restaurant operator globally. However, Potbelly Corp and its peers Cosi Inc, Panera Bread Co and Einstein Noah Restaurant Group aren slugging it out directly with Subway.

If you don't have the time or expertise to carefully select individual stocks to invest in, you'd do well to consider investing in exchange-traded funds (ETFs). They're built like mutual funds, but they trade like stocks, and many charge lower fees than regular mutual funds. That's especially true of ETFs that track indexes. A great example to consider for your portfolio is the PowerShares QQQ ETF (NASDAQ: QQQ  ) .

Since then, several other indexes had been less hesitant to add Facebook to their ranks. Russell's indexes were among the first to include Facebook as a constituent, and as various lockup provisions expired to expand the stock's float, Russell responded earlier this year by boosting the social-media giant's weighting in several key indexes. The Nasdaq 100 brought on Facebook as a member a year ago, giving shareholders in PowerShares QQQ (NASDAQ: QQQ  ) the same conundrum that S&P index fund investors face today.

Midstream companies are having an excellent 2013 so far, but ONEOK Partners (NYSE: OKS  ) has more or less missed out, as shares are down about 1% year to date. The partnership and its general partner ONEOK (NYSE: OKE  ) report earnings on Tuesday, and the results will hopefully shed some light on whether or not things will pick up this year. Here are three things to watch for when ONEOK Partners reports.

If my suspicion is correct, right now is a good time to pick up shares of dividend-paying companies and units of MLPs and REITs. After the drubbing dealt out to income assets in the last month, it's relatively easy to find dividend stocks that pay 5.24%, as Teco Energy (TE) did at the August 23 close or MLPs paying 5.72%, as ONEOK Partners (OKS) did on that date.
